One of Fiona's blue point kittens, four weeks old

Additional Options
  • Prices
The normal price for one of our kittens is $525.
We offer a multi-kitten discount: if two or more kittens are sold to the same home together, we will take $75 off the price of each kitten.
Adolescent kittens between six and 12 months, if available, are priced at $425.
Spayed or neutered adults, when available, are priced at $325.
Retired breeding cats, when available, are priced at $225.
Occasionally kittens are available with breeding rights to selected buyers; these are priced at $800.
  • Prospective buyers must send a deposit of $175 to reserve a kitten. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. If the originally-reserved kitten becomes unavailable due to illness, accident, or death, we will transfer the deposit to an acceptable later kitten of the same type, sex, and color. The deposit may be made by credit card through PayPal, by check, or by money order. You need not be signed up with PayPal to use their services -- we will e-mail you a clickable link. Please discuss the deposit with us before arranging to send money by any method.
  • The buyer must read and agree to the Kitten Contract. before any kitten will be released to its new home. Each buyer will be expected to sign two copies of the contract, customized to show inidividual buyer and kitten details, when the kitten is picked up or delivered. The buyer will receive a healthy kitten with a limited health and exchange guarantee, a four-generation pedigree with photos of the kitten and parents, and a litter registration with the Traditional Cat Association. Some of our cats and kittens are also registered with the Cat Fanciers' Association.
  • Kittens will be ready to go to new homes after 14 weeks of age or occasionally later, depending on health and level of maturity. Kittens are sold with an agreement requiring the buyer to have the kitten spayed or neutered before the age of eight months. When the kittens are ready to go, buyers usually come to our home in Rocky Ford, Colorado to pick them up. We can also arrange for the kitten to be delivered if travel costs are reimbursed (@ $0.22/mile), or if the delivery can be combined with another trip to the same area.
  • We are willing to ship a kitten from Denver International Airport if a direct flight can be obtained, but a kitten cannot be shipped before the age of 13 weeks. Additional shipping costs added to the purchase price: $80 for the trip to Denver International Airport from Rocky Ford, $60 for the required vet check and health certificate, and $45 for the airline-approved carrier. The actual air freight shipping costs, which differ by airline and destination but average about $230, will be paid by the buyer to the airline when the kitten is picked up at destination. If the buyer prefers to fly to Denver to pick up the kitten at the airport and take it back as an in-cabin carry-on, we will give a discount so that the total costs will be slightly lower than having the kitten shipped.
  • As of January 2011, we are no longer vaccinating our kittens. We have seen too many adverse reactions from the vaccines, including autistic symptoms, neurological damage, premature births, and increased kitten mortality, to be willing to continue this destructive practice. If you have your kitten vaccinated after purchase, it will be at your own risk and will void our extended health guarantee. The only exception is in a situation where a rabies vaccine is absolutely unavoidable. We understand this can sometimes occur and it will not void our health guarantee; however, we recommend using ONLY Merial PureVax rabies vaccine, a non-adjuvanted recombinant vaccine developed especially for cats. Buyers should be aware that some veterinararians will attempt to coerce the client into vaccinating the kitten before spay or neuter surgery is performed if the kitten is older than five months, even though this practice is not supported by the Colorado State Veterinary Board. Some links which address problems associated with vaccines:

  • If for any reason the buyer is unable to keep one of our kittens or adult cats, we will accept the kitten or cat back again and pay any necessary shipping charges. We do not want to see one of our cats relinquished to a shelter or left on the street. We will see to it that any cat returned to us is re-homed into a safe and loving environment. The sale value of an adult cat sold as a pet will be lower than the original kitten price; however, any funds obtained from the rehoming of the cat will be forwarded to the original buyer as received.
  • We expect that our cats will be kept indoors, or permitted to go outside only in a supervised, secure environment or on a leash. Breeders registered with the Traditional Cat Association do not sell to buyers who plan to let the cat roam freely outdoors.
  • NOTE: If you plan to declaw your kitten, we will not sell you one of our kittens. If you declaw the kitten after purchase, it will void your contract AND our extended health guarantee. Please read the Facts About Declawing.

  • Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail us if you have any questions about the above policies.
